Opening Retreat - Curb Program in Creative Enterprise and Public Leadership and Creative Campus

The inaugural class of Curb scholars and creative campus residential fellows arrived on campus on August 21 for an opening retreat. Guided by two filmmakers and joined by several faculty associates, approximately 14 students (scholars and fellows) created their own films over 5 hours at the old Neuhoff Meat Packing Plant (8,000 square feet of dilapidated buildings) located in East Germantown on the Cumberland River. The plant had been closed over 25 years before the McRedmond family acquired it for development as a mixed-use residential, commercial, and creative ecology.       Browse more photos from the retreat at the Vanderbilt Creative Campus Flickr Page
