Vandy Vinyl is the first student-run independent music label and entertainment organization at Vanderbilt University. The label’s mission is to provide the hands on experience essential for students pursuing careers in arts management, music, sound engineering, or other sectors of the entertainment industry.
Structured as a professional label, Vandy Vinyl will record, produce, mix, market, distribute, and license the music of faculty, student, and alumni artists. The student run record label will place Vanderbilt University among a select number of universities who offer their students cutting edge music industry experience within an liberal arts curriculum, only possible by cohesive faculty, staff, and student initiatives.
